Tips for embroidering Embossed style embroidery designs (from Embossed Embroidery Variety Collection 970390):
 
    To achieve the "embossed" look,
    • Use a heavier weight fabric, such as, terry cloth, polar fleece, sweatshirt, etc.
    • Do not use Solvy on the top of the fabric.  We used cut-away backing.
    • For towels, we used tear-away and fibrous wash-away backing.
When embroidered on light weight fabric, these designs look great as light-stitch designs.
